Eric Clapton is among the most popular artists playing Live Music as far as rock is concerned. In fact he can be called a symbol of it. He gave an astonish number of Live Music performances with numerous bands. Many of them gained popularity thanks to the Live performances with Clapton. In 2003 one of the British magazine, edited in London, put him on the list of the greatest guitarists in the history. He has fourth place.
At first no one believed we would make a career connected with Music. Learning to play the guitar was extremely difficult to Clapton and he was only an inch away from quitting it. He started from giving Live performances on the British streets. His first experience with playing Music with a band is connected with the group called The Yardbirds. There he had an opportunity to work on his characteristic style of his Music and he soon became a popular rock guitarist. He had a very important Live tour with a popular blues man Sony Boy Williamson II. It enabled Clapton to make his solo career after living the band. (He left because he didn’t like the new pop style of The Yardbirds music).
Leaving this group turned out to be a good career move. Clapton formed his own band The Cream. Their Live Music gained him the core of his popularity, which didn’t diminish after starting his solo career. Live Music from that time was also warmly welcomed by both fans and critics.
