Jimmy Hendrix is a legend of rock Live Music – his concerts were always sold-out, his fans have never had enough. Although we will never have the opportunity to listen to his Live Music (he died in 1970, aged only 27, in London) it’s still alive in the hearts and souls oh his fans.
Hendrix is thought to be one of the most influential rock musician in the history. His first successes are connected with Great Britain, than his popularity became worldwide. Playing Live at Monterey Pop Festival was an extremely important point in his career. His Music from that on became a drug for many people – unfortunately, Hendrix was also addicted, not necessarily as far as Music is concerned. His most famous Live performance was undoubtedly the one from Woodstock, in 1969.
Although he is concerned to be a rock musician, Hendrix was influenced by many kinds of Music: beginning with blues and soul, up to psychedelic rock. This variety made his concerts so exceptional and provided his Live performances such an outstanding number of fans each time.
Despite of the fact that Hendrix was a great musician during the concerts, a specialist of Live Music we may say, he also was one of the best record producers ever. He was one of the first who experimented with stereophonic effects in the studio. It’s really worth some time to compare his Live Music album with the one recorded in the studio.
