The Beatles

Live Music was very popular in late 50s and 60s. Rock’n’roll was gaining great popularity that time, and Live Music was the best possible music background for dancing. Young people were enjoying spending their leisure time on listening to Music, not necessarily Live, but of course it was a bigger attraction in comparison to a recorded Music. That’s why clubs were trying to invite the best and the most popular musicians to play in them and concert on fresh air became such a popular entertainment.

People living in the United Kingdom probably had the finest opportunities to enjoy Music in its Live version, because of the fact that many well-known bands lived there. Many concerts and other music-related events took place in London, but not only there. For instance, the Beatles, the legendary group, one of the most famous bands of all times, was established in Liverpool and gave a numerous Live concerts all over the Europe. Members of this group also became famous as individual musicians, but it was the band which became a cultural phenomenon. Craze would be probably more appropriate word. Live Music played by this band became a reason for numerous fans to drive sometimes hundreds of kilometers to participate in their concerts. It’s probably the most extraordinary example when Live Music became a reason for such a massive pilgrimages of music fans.
