20. Live Music East Lothian I don’t know what to think about so called Live Music of some pop bands. My problem is I just don’t understand how they ca call it live. It has nothing to do with the spirit of energetic rock gigs which I remember from my time, or with classical orchestra concerts or with modestLive Musicof jazz players in fifties and sixties.
I know what pop fans would say – it is pop and we don’t want it to be similar to anything which was happening in the past. We just want nice liking ladies dancing with handsome models in the sun or on top of skyscrapers – the place doesn’t matter but we want it to be sweet and nice and we expect exactly the same thing to be happening at
Live Music.
I understand that voce populi is the great power in modern societies and it’s very hard to oppose it, but I dare to have different opinion. I don’t mean that I’d like pop to be similar to different types of Live Music and I certainly am not an old timers – I know Live Gigs of 50’s and 60’s only from the videos. My problem is I can’t see anything really authentic in those so called Live Music East Lothian.
